Aluminum profilesThe titanium gold plating process belongs to the coating technology, which adds pre plating and electroplating process steps to the conventional titanium plating process. The aluminum profile process involves chemically treating the activated plated parts in an aqueous solution of salt and hydrochloric acid.
The plating solution components of the electroplating process include nickel sulfate, nickel chloride, boric acid, sodium dodecyl sulfate, saccharin, and brightener. This process has the advantages of simplicity, practicality, and good results. The titanium alloy aluminum profile produced by this process has a film hardness of HV ≈ 1500, and is 150 times more wear-resistant than 22 K gold plating under the same conditions. It can be processed into various forms of bright series of aluminum profile products such as gold, color, and black.
Corrosion resistance
The density of aluminum profiles is only 2.7g/cm3, which is about one-third of the density of steel, copper, or brass (7.83g/cm3, 8.93g/cm3, respectively). Under most environmental conditions, including air, water (or salt water), petroleum chemistry, and many chemical systems, aluminum can exhibit excellent corrosion resistance.
Conductivity
Aluminum profiles are often selected due to their excellent conductivity. On the basis of equal weight, the conductivity of aluminum is nearly twice that of copper.
Thermal conductivity
The thermal conductivity of aluminum alloy is about 50-60% of that of copper, which is beneficial for manufacturing heat exchangers, evaporators, heating appliances, cooking utensils, as well as cylinder heads and radiators in automobiles.
Non ferromagnetic
Aluminum profiles are non ferromagnetic, which is an important characteristic for the electrical and electronic industries. Aluminum profiles cannot self ignite, which is important for applications involving loading, unloading or contact with flammable and explosive materials.
Machinability
The machinability of aluminum profiles is excellent. In various deformed and cast aluminum alloys, as well as in the various states in which these alloys are produced, there are significant changes in machining characteristics, which require special machine tools or techniques.
Formability
The specific tensile strength, yield strength, ductility, and corresponding work hardening rate govern the variation in allowable deformation.
Recyclability
Aluminum has extremely high recyclability, and the characteristics of recycled aluminum are almost indistinguishable from those of primary aluminum.
