Chengye Plate introduces to you:
The difference between aluminum plates in 1060-O state and 1060-H24 state
1060 aluminum plate belongs to pure aluminum alloy, with an aluminum content of 99.6%, and is a commonly used aluminum alloy. Good elongation and tensile strength make the inexpensive 1060 aluminum plate highly praised in the market. I often hear customers ask what is the difference between 1060-O aluminum plate and 1060-H24 aluminum plate.
Firstly, we need to know that the O state is a state of aluminum plate, which is the product of aluminum plate after annealing. Aluminum alloys of the same brand are divided into two different forms: the O state and the H state.
In terms of production process, the aluminum plate in the O state is formed by crystallization after complete annealing, while H24 is in the state of incomplete annealing after work hardening.
In terms of physical properties, the O-state aluminum plate is softer, while the H24 state aluminum plate is harder compared to the O-state. That is to say, the hardness of 1060 aluminum plate in H24 state is greater than that in O state.
In terms of scope of use: Because O-type aluminum sheets are relatively soft, they are prone to bending and drawing, and are mainly used in various industries such as decoration, packaging, and so on. H24, on the other hand, has a harder state and can be used for wire drawing, cutting, and bending. It is commonly used in industries such as curtain walls and mechanical processing.
